My Acupuncture Journey 

After graduating from Ursuline Academy, I began my journey westward.  First, to Saint Louis University to complete my BA in psychology.  At this time alternative and complementary medicine was just beginning to gain mainstream attention.  This struck a chord with me so I continued further west to San Diego to pursue my interest in this field.

I became a Holistic Health Practitioner and began working to develop an integrative health center with a leading MD in San Diego.  It was here that I was introduced to the medical usage of acupuncture and Chinese Medicine and was so impressed that I then began a 4 year Master’s Degree program.  I completed over 3000 hours of study and 1000 hours of internships, including an international internship at Chengdu University in China, and at Children’s Hospital in San Diego.  
After completing my Master’s of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) I began my practice in San Diego, shortly after, I was blessed with the birth of my first child. I decided to move my practice back to Cincinnati to be closer to family. I am happy to be here and part of the growing awareness of alternative medicine and acupuncture in this city.

• International Certification of Medical Training- Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital; China

  • International internship: in-and–out patient hospital setting as well as classroom hours with highly respected doctors in the areas of pediatrics, gynecology, oncology, and diabetes.

LICENSING

• Diplomate in Oriental Medicine (Dipl. OM) issued by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM):  the licensing body for the National Exam

• Acupuncture Certificate of Registration in Ohio

• Ohio State Medical Board licensed
